Members of faculty, Students of Saint Mary’s college of Nursing, Doctors, staff and members of St Mary’s Hospital celebrated 77th Independence Day “AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV” in a very grand manner. The college had also organized many cultural events. The Chief guest Dr. Amitha Maria Lobo(MBBS, MD in gen surgery) and the dignitaries of the day Rev. Sr Philomena Nimmy the superior, Rev. Sr. Mary Mendonca the director, Rev. Sr. Aruna the administrator of CON, Rev. Sr. Santhan the hospital administrator, Principal Prof Naveen Rasquinha CON, Vice principal Prof Sandeep Kumar CON. The celebration began with patriotic prayer song subsequently the chief guest paid tribute to the nation and freedom fighters of India by hosting the Indian flag in the presence of dignitaries, doctors, nursing, staffs teaching and non teaching faculties with due respect towards the nation everyone participated for national anthem fallowed by delivery of speech By the chief guest which enkindled fire of patriotism in the hearts of all gathered. the day was finally delighted as sweets were distributed to the gathering.
