on 29/09/23 World heart day celebration was organized by Saint Mary’s college of Nursing Students in collaboration with car drivers association, H.D Kote president Mr. Manjunath and H.D.Kote Circle Inspector Respected Sir. Sabeer Husen flagged off the event, The World Heart Day is a reminder to everyone around the world to take care of their hearts. This year’s campaign focuses on the essential step of knowing our hearts first. Scores of people participated in a walkathon with heart day related slogans. The Walkathon became successful because of the enthusiastic participation of the Circle Inspector Respected Sir. Sabeer Husen and other police faculty of H.D Kote Police station, Doctors, Nursing assistants , B.Sc Nursing Students , support staff, as well as the local residents.
Over 150 participants made the event sublime. At H.D Kote in front of the Bus stand world heart day related role play was played giving awareness to the people regarding signs and symptoms of heart attack and ways to keep our heart healthy and happy. Dr. Sr. Hilda the Senior gynecologist of St. Mary’s hospital enlightened the people of H D Kote with her motivational speech on to love and take care heart. Students also presented Zumba exercise activity encouraging people to engage in healthy activities and exercises to make small changes to our lifestyle – what we eat and drink, how much we exercise, and how we manage stress – we can better manage our heart health and beat CVD.(cardio vascular disease).
