On 23/03/2024 World T B day and No tobacco day is celebrated by the 2nd and 3rd batch of B.Sc Nursing Students of Saint Mary’s college of Nursing under the leadership of their respective coordinators. A role play put up by the students to raise public awareness and understanding about one of the infectious diseases – Tuberculosis was indeed wonderful, informative and the health education presented by the students was according to the theme of the World T B day Celebration i e Yes! We Can End TB.” The theme carries a message of hope. It emphasizes the possibility of getting back on track in the fight against the TB. It was followed by door to door awareness on TB and distribution of pamphlets
World No Tobacco day was observed by poster presentation on the theme Protecting children from tobacco industry interference. Students in groups creatively in an inventive manner presented the related posters which gives the message to the public who are calling for the tobacco industry to stop targeting them with products that are harmful to their health. Students educational presentation was indeed excellent.
