{"id":641,"date":"2019-07-13T08:02:33","date_gmt":"2019-07-13T08:02:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stmaryskote.in\/?p=641"},"modified":"2019-07-13T08:02:33","modified_gmt":"2019-07-13T08:02:33","slug":"international-nurses-day-celebration","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stmaryskote.in\/index.php\/2019\/07\/13\/international-nurses-day-celebration\/","title":{"rendered":"International Nurses Day Celebration"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Nurses: A Voice to Lead &#8211; Health for All<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It was an auspicious day for the faculty, staff and students of St. Mary\u2019s Community Health center Trust\u00ae to celebrate International Nurses Day which marks the anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale founder of Modern Nursing<br \/>\nDr. Sr. Jyothi led a meaningful prayer service fallowed by Dr. Sr. Hilda Rita Lobo delivered an inspirational speech on the theme <strong>Nurses: A Voice to Lead &#8211; Health For All <\/strong>and <strong>Nursing the <\/strong><strong>balance of Mind, Body and Spirit\u201d<\/strong>. She emphasized the need for every nursing professional to find a pleasant balance involving one\u2019s physical, psychological and spiritual faculty in the workplace. Further, she stressed on the importance for nursing professionals to unite and be the voice of the nursing fraternity and to upload the dignity and qualities of nursing profession especially in work place.<\/p>\n<p>Nursing Superintended Sr. Mary Fernandes stressed on the importance of having a positive outlook towards the challenges one may encounter in their workplace and anticipate better outcomes in their field of service. The program started at 7 am with a prayer song, followed with the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries.\u00a0Words of encouragements and appreciation to the nurses for the selfless service.
