A Health Awareness Program was successfully organized on 16.06.2025 at the Government Primary Health Centre (PHC), Sagare, Karnataka, by the 4th-year B.Sc. Nursing students. Centered around the theme “Weakness, Fatigue, and Malaise,” the event aimed to educate the local community on these common yet often overlooked symptoms and to encourage timely health-seeking behavior.
The program was conducted under the guidance and supervision of Ms. Bindu, Nursing Tutor. The event was graced by Dr. Kiran Kumar, the attending physician at the PHC, who praised the students’ initiative and emphasized the importance of community engagement in health education.
Program Highlights:
- Welcome Address: Delivered by Nirmala, who extended a warm welcome to the audience and dignitaries.
- Master of Ceremonies: Madhu efficiently coordinated the flow of the program.
- Role Play: The 4th-year B.Sc. Nursing students performed a compelling skit depicting real-life scenarios of individuals experiencing weakness and fatigue, highlighting their causes, preventive strategies, and the importance of proper nutrition and rest.
- Flash Card Presentation: A visually engaging and informative segment that clearly communicated health messages to people of all age groups.
- Vote of Thanks: Expressed by Mariya Smitha, who sincerely thanked all attendees, staff, and community members for their participation and support.
The program was well-received by the local community and successfully heightened awareness about the symptoms and prevention of weakness, fatigue, and malaise. It also underscored the significant role nursing students play in promoting community health education.
