

As a part of World No Tobacco Day Saint Mary’s College of Nursing Organized public health education to the people of H.D.Kote and surrounding villages through an role play on the ill effects of tobacco use at Saint Mary’s Hospital H. D. Kote campus. The 2nd Year B.Sc. Nursing students enlightened the people on the theme ‘We need food, not tobacco’. Around 130 people benefitted from this public health education. The Director of the college Rev. Sr. Mary Mendonca, Administrator Rev. Sr. Aruna, Principal of the college Prof. Mr. Naveen Rasquinha, Vice principal Prof. Mr. Sandeep Kumar N , faculties of SMCON and SMCHC were present to this event. Sr. Smitha Assistant Professor addressed the gathering on the awareness on ‘ill-effects of consuming tobacco’ and ways to protect the health of the individual, to build a healthy society.
