World Environmental day was observed at Saint Mary’s College of Nursing on 5th June 2023. The SNA representatives organized this beautiful event by way of shramadhana around the hospital campus making it as a, plastic free zone. To mark this day a stage program was arranged by the SNA committee members, the chief guest of the day Rev. Sr. Philomena Nimmy the newly elected superior of Sanjeevini convent, Rev. Sr. Mary Mendonca the Director, Rev. Sr. Aruna the administrator, Prof. Mr. Naveen Rasquinha the Principal CON, Prof Mr. Sandeep Kumar the vice principal CON, were the dignitaries of the day.
Rev. Sr. Philomena Nimmy enlightened the gathering through an inspirational speech on the theme “on taking actions on plastic pollution matters also to care for the mother earth by loving it and showing our care and concern. It was also a significant day to introduce newly elected superior Rev. Sr Philomena Nimmy to the college of nursing and felicitated her with words of appreciation and good wishes by offering flowers. The short program concluded with planting sapling by Rev. Sr Philomena Nimmy the chief guest of the day along with other Dignitaries. The faculty of CON and students made this program more colorful with their melodious songs on protecting and caring mother earth.
