On 11-02-2025 at 11am The World Cancer Day 2025’s campaign “United by Unique” is about placing people at the centre of cancer care was conducted by 5TH Semester batch of students of Saint Mary’s College of Nursing Under the supervision of Ms. Dhanya the Nursing Tutor. The awareness program was held in the Saint Mary’s Community Health Center premises. The program commenced with a welcome Speech by Ms. Yashika D.G followed by a prayer song. The student Mr. Punith gave the introductory speech about the significance of the day. The dignitaries presented were Rev Sr Mary Mendonca the Director, Prof. Naveen Rasquinha Principal Rev. Sr. Mary Fernandes, Sr. Santhan Administrator, Rev. Sr. Navita Nursing Superintendent, Dr. Sr. Amitha Lobo Medical Superintendent Dr. Jyothi and staffs of the Hospital, the college staff and nearly 80-150 viewers who got benefited by the program.
A skit was performed by the students on cautions about Cancer and its preventive measures and management. The students displayed the danger signs of cancer and provided Health education by using charts. Followed by a dance performance by the student of 5th semester students to describe the ill effects of the cancer. Mrs. V.R. Dhanavathi the faculty of Saint Mary’s College of Nursing explained & provided education regarding cancer.
