On 30 June 2025, the 4th Year B.Sc. Nursing students organized two impactful health awareness programs at the Government CHC in Saraguru and St. Mary’s Community Health Center Trust in H.D. Kote. At Saraguru, they used an engaging puppet show to educate the public on the differences between safe and unsafe abortions, legal rights, and related health risks, resulting in active community participation and greater awareness. At St. Mary’s CHC, the focus was on promoting balanced nutrition for mothers and children, using visual aids and practical demonstrations. This session was led under the guidance of Assistant Professor Sr. Smitha and Clinical Instructor Ms. Sharmila. Both programs effectively combined creativity and community involvement to enhance health literacy, benefiting approximately 300 participants.
