Saint Mary’s College of Nursing marked International Yoga Day with an inspiring program on June 21, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. The event, themed “One Earth, One Health,” was organized by the enthusiastic first-semester students under the coordination of Lecturer Mr. Jayanth.
The celebration commenced with a heartfelt welcome address by Ms. Anaga Maria. This was followed by a graceful yoga dance performance by Ms. Binooja and her team, setting a serene and energetic mood.
Ms. Sona Vinod and Ms. Sona Binu spoke eloquently on the significance of International Yoga Day, highlighting yoga’s profound impact on physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
A dynamic yoga demonstration led by Ms. Jaysheela and her team beautifully showcased the strength, flexibility, and harmony embodied by yoga practice.
Principal Prof. Naveen Rasquinha addressed the gathering with motivating words and emphasized the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life for overall health and balance.
The event concluded with a sincere vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Nandana Deepak, expressing deep appreciation to all the participants, organizers, and faculty members who contributed to the program’s success.
