The 6th batch of nursing students celebrated the Lamp Lighting and Oath Taking Ceremony on 14th February 2026 at 11:00 AM in the premises of Saint Mary’s College of Nursing, honoring the legacy of Florence Nightingale. The ceremony was graced by Rev. Sr. Philomena Kimmy, Superior of Sanjeevini Convent and Correspondent of the College (Chief Guest), Rev. Sr. Mary Mendonça, Director, Rev. Sr. Aruna Kumari, Administrator, College of Nursing, Prof. Sarvamangala K.P., Principal, Prof. Sandeep Kumar, Vice Principal, and Rev. Sr. Santhan Rodrigues, Hospital Administrator. The program featured a prayer dance, the symbolic lamp lighting ceremony, a motivational address by the Chief Guest, oath taking administered by Sr. Rufina Menezes, and a cultural presentation titled “Angels in Uniform.” The event concluded with the college anthem followed by refreshments.. The ceremony was inspiring and memorable, encouraging the students to uphold the noble values and responsibilities of the nursing profession.
