An awareness program was conducted on 13th February 2026 at Buddha Nagar, Mysuru, by the 5th Semester students of Saint Mary’s College of Nursing under the guidance of St. Mary’s De-addiction and Rehabilitation Centre and HOD of Mental health department Sr Rufina Menezes an Assistant Professor SMCON . The program aimed to educate the public on early identification of mental illness, harmful effects of alcohol, and the importance of de-addiction services. The event was attended by local dignitaries and residents. The program included a welcome address, an awareness session, a motivational dance by students, and concluded with a vote of thanks. Fruits and refreshments were distributed to participants as a goodwill gesture.
