Saint Mary’s College of Nursing, Mysuru, in association with the Student Nurses’ Association (SNA), organized its annual cultural and sports event Kalayudha 2026 from 26th–28th February. The three-day celebration aimed to foster creativity, teamwork, and cultural expression among students.
The program began with an inaugural ceremony and featured a wide range of competitions. Cultural events included solo and group singing, dance performances, Oppana, drama, fashion show (traditional and western), fancy dress, Mehendi, face painting, makeup and hairstyle, painting, quiz, pick & speech, and wealth out of waste. Sports events brought energy and enthusiasm with running races, discus throw, sac race, lemon & spoon race, balloon bursting, treasure hunt, tug of war, water filling, hitting the ball, and other fun games.
The competitions were marked by spirited participation, creativity, and sportsmanship. The valedictory ceremony concluded with prize distribution, where Ravenclaw House secured first place and Barteoni House won second place. The success of Kalayudha 2026 was attributed to the dedicated efforts of faculty members, who worked tirelessly to ensure smooth organization, and the enthusiastic participation of students.
Overall, the event was a resounding success, strengthening unity, confidence, and cultural identity among students while reinforcing the college’s commitment to holistic development.
